Classes

In the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of Reiki there are 3 attunement levels and a Master/Teacher degree. The levels are known simply as Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Reiki 3. They are also known as degrees, and some will call them Reiki Level 1 or Reiki 1st degree and so on. It is all the same when it comes down to it.

Different teachers have different spins on how they teach. There are many books and articles about the various types of Reiki systems. It is up to the student to do the research and find a practice and a teacher that is right for them. Quite often there are special circumstances that lead a student to their Reiki Master and it is a universal connection, as in the case with my Master and me.

The structure is always the same no matter what the method. Reiki 1 is the 1st level, Reiki 2 the 2nd. The difference can be that Reiki 3 and Reiki Master/Teacher training may be taught at the same time or separately. Reiki 3 is a higher level of Reiki than Reiki 2 but a student may wish to stop there and not become a teacher. Reiki Master/Teacher level is for those who want to teach Reiki and pass the training and attunements on to others.

The structure of teaching that I practice is to teach one level at a time with a period of time of practice before moving the student to the next level. This is the case for Levels 1-3. If a Reiki 2 or 3 practitioner wishes Reiki Master training from me it will require that we both are sure the student/teacher fit is right and it is the right time for the student/teacher connection.
