Therapy for Animals
Reiki Animals respond very well to Reiki, all animals, companion, barnyard and wild. A typical Reiki session for a non-acute condition with an animal usually lasts up to one hour. It is not necessary for a practitioner to touch or hold the animal to treat them. If the practitioner is a Reiki II, III or Reiki Master they can send Reiki without being in the same vicinity even. As with humans, small and large animals benefit in various ways. Reiki can be very calming and nurturing. It can help heal emotional, physical and mental disturbances and is always for the animals highest healing good. Reiki is a type of treatment that addresses what is needed for the individual rather than what the individual wants. With animals they are more in tune with that way of being and generally will stop the session when enough Reiki has been received. I have had good results using Reiki with animals in a variety of situations. Some of those being for shelter animals in kennels that are anxious or depressed and sometimes in pain, even to the point of being unsafe to get close to. I have had balls of jumping, yipping energy melt into my lap after starting the Reiki. I use Reiki often in conjunction with massage and water therapy to soothe the animal and help them feel safe and relaxed. When areas are too tender to massage, Reiki is a wonderful way to treat the specific site. Amazing results have occurred. Reiki works well with other modalities of treatment and does not lessen or alter other treatments. Many clients are under the care of Veterinarians or other professionals and add Reiki as a complimentary therapy. Reiki can be helpful with emotional issues that are brought up by other therapies. Please contact J Linn to discuss your animals
unique situation and your concerns. |
